DONAVON "DON" CRAIG LAKIN

DONAVON "DON" CRAIG LAKIN of Pierce City, MO died September 4, 2019 at the age of 78. He owned Commercial Embalming Service for several years in Springfield, MO before selling it. Don and his wife Mary, also a licensed funeral director, operated Larkin Funeral Homes in Pierce city and Stotts City. A graduate of the John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science, he was appointed to the Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors in 1986, becoming chairman in 1990. He was elected and served several terms as Lawrence County Coroner.
