DONALD M. DEWARE of Quincy, MA died July 14, 2011 at the age of 95. In 1939, he and his brother, Robert bought a building on Hancock Street in the Wollaston section of Quincy that formerly housed a children's theater. It was later renamed Deware Brothers Funeral Home and was one of the first funeral chapels on the South Shore. He ran one of the first private ambulance services, Deware Ambulance Service that was one of the first responders to the tragic Coconut grove Fire in Boston. He was a member of the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association and a graduate of the former Boston School of Anatomy and Embalming in 1938.
