DAVID B. THOMAS

DAVID B. THOMAS of Stroudsburg, PA died September 19, 2012 at the age of 55. He was a licensed funeral director, and owner of Thomas Funeral Home, which was established by his father, the late William R. Thomas in 1949. He took over ownership of the firm after his father died in 1988. In 1997, he was elected Monroe County Coroner and was re-elected for three more terms, in 2001, 2005 and 2009. His illness forced him to retire in 2011 from both the funeral home and as coroner. He graduated from the Simmons School of Mortuary Science in Syracuse.
