DAVID OTTO SCHOENFELD

DAVID OTTO SCHOENFELD of Beloit, WI died June 20, 2020 at the age of 83. He worked as a funeral director and owner until 1972 at his family's firm. For 32 years, he and his wife, Joan, owned and operated the Schoenfeld Mortuary in Hot Sulphur Springs, CO. For 30 years Dave was elected and served as county coroner. He was past president of the International Coroners Association and the Colorado Coroners Association, where he was an instructor for their coroners training program. He served as past president of the Colorado Funeral Directors Association, where he received the Funeral Service Mentor Award in 1998. He was a graduate of the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science.
