DAVID HERMAN QUIRING JR

DAVID HERMAN QUIRING JR of Seattle, WA died July 15, 2023 at the age of 80. He began working full time with Quiring Monuments, Inc in 1964 and assumed the role of president after the passing of his father. He remained president until 2016 when he retired and sold the business to his daughter and son-in-law. A board member of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association, Quiring served as president of the Pacific Northwest Monument Builders Association from 1969-1973 and presented with their Meritorious Service Award. He also served as president of the Allied Memorial Council of Washington from 1972-1973 and was vice president of the Monument Builders of North American from 1982-1986. Quiring was honored by the Washington Cemetery and Funeral Service Association as Person of the Year in 1991.
