DAVID L. ORTON of Austin, TX died June 8, 2023 at the age of 79. He retired from funeral service as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2014. Orton continued to work on a part-time basis until 2020. A graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science, he was honored by the Texas Funeral Directors Association in 2016 for having been licensed in the state of Texas for 50 years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
