DANIEL B. “DAN” BROWN

DANIEL B. “DAN” BROWN of Mifflintown, PA died September 15, 2023 at the age of 64. A fifth-generation funeral director, he owned and operated the Brown Funeral Home in Mifflintown, having taken over the business in 1989 from his father, R. Bradford Brown, Jr. In 2001, he and his wife, Kathy, purchased the Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home in McAlisterville and established what is now known as Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. A 1986 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, and the Juniata Valley Funeral Directors Association, where he currently served as president.
