DALE A SHELLEY

DALE A SHELLEY of Little Falls, MN died April 14, 2016 at the age of 88. He worked as a funeral director in Arlington, MN and later worked in Minneapolis at the Albin Chapel and the Listow-Wold Funeral Home. In 1985, he and his wife, JoAnne E. Brustad purchased the Leo M. Thompson Funeral Home in Little Falls and renamed it Shelley Funeral Chapels. After 30 years of owning the firm, they sold it to their son, Steve and continued to help with operations for the next 15 years. In 1949, Dale enrolled in the University of Minnesota and graduated from the Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1950. He served as president of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association in 1972.
