CHARLES W. DEE

CHARLES W. DEE SR., of Concord, MA died July 29, 2012 at the age of 88. He was a third generation funeral director, former president and treasurer of Dee Funeral Home for 64 years. He joined his father and grandfather in the operation of the firm, then known as Joseph Dee and Son Funeral Home, where he served his apprenticeship. In 1955, he was elected to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery committee, where he would serve 24 years and as chairman for several of those years. In 1948, he graduated from the New England Institute in Boston. He served a term on the district board of the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association during the 1980's.
