CHARLES HENRY CHEW

CHARLES HENRY CHEW III of Philadelphia, PA died June 12, 2014 at the age of 91. He was a licensed funeral director and mortician at The Chew Funeral Home, which was established by his father, Charles H. Chew Jr., in 1927. His two younger brothers, Edward and Ramsey later followed him into the business, renaming it Charles H. Chew and Sons. After the death of his father in 1970, he became a senior partner and supervising manager. He continued in that role until his retirement at age 84 and the dissolution of the business in 2006. He graduated from the Echols College of Mortuary Science.
