BRIAN RICHARD HUBERT HORNE

BRIAN RICHARD HUBERT HORNE of Christiansburg, VA died September 1, 2019 at the age of 46. A third generation funeral director, Certified Funeral Service Practitioner and certified CANA Crematory Operator, Horne was president of the Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Christiansburg. A 1992 graduate of the Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service, he was active in the Virginia Funeral Directors Association, serving as a member of the board of directors from 2018–2020 and served as chairman of the convention exhibits committee since 2001. Horne is a past presi-dent of the Blue Ridge Funeral Directors Association and a member of the Selected Funeral Directors Association and the Independent Funeral Homes of Virginia, where he has served on the board of directors.
