BLOSSOM CARRIE MORGAN

BLOSSOM CARRIE MORGAN of Versailles, KY died July 18, 2012 at the age of 90. She worked alongside Mr. and Mrs. Lula Haggard of Haggard Funeral Home until establishing Morgan Funeral Home in 1951. She managed the firm with her late husband, Harold Morgan until his death in 1990. She continued to offer her services to the community for more than 50 years as a licensed funeral director. She was a member of the Kentucky Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky, the 100 Black Women of Funeral Service, who posthumously honored her as a Living Legend at the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association on August 8, 2012 in Las Vegas.
