BERNARD R. STURM

BERNARD R. STURM of Grayville, IL died October 29, 2017at the age of 97. He was a licensed funeral director, owner and operator of Sturm Funeral Homes, which he purchased from Josh Nash in 1944. The purchase of the funeral home came with a furniture store in downtown Grayville; it was sold a few years later. In 1972, Sturm built a funeral chapel in Crossville and in 2003 the funeral homes were sold to Thomas and Beth Cook after 59 years of service to the community. He graduated from the St. Louis College of Mortuary Science.
