ARVEL L. "ELO" CHEEK

ARVEL L. "ELO" CHEEK of Oxford, AL died June 17, 2020 at the age of 86. In 1954, he began working in the casket industry at Wallace Metal Products in Richmond, IN before being transferring to the Wallace Plant in Anniston, AL in 1971. In 1982 he founded Coldwater Casket Company, which later became Southern Heritage Casket. Cheek operated the business alongside his sons, Rick and Jeff and his wife Betty until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the Casket and Funeral Supply Association of America.
