ARTHUR G. ANDERSON

ARTHUR G. ANDERSON of Escanaba, MI died March 30, 2012 at the age of 84. He was a licensed funeral director, working alongside his father in the family business, Anderson Funeral Home. In 1950, he partnered with his father, forming a new funeral home which was built at 2200 Ludington Street in Escanaba. In 1967, he purchased Kelly Funeral Home of Gladstone, expanding his services. His two sons joined him in the business in the 1980s, adding a third generation to the firm. He was a member of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association, and honored for over 60 years of dedication in the funeral industry by the MFDA. He was a graduate of the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Sci-ence.
