ARMAND LOUIS "BIG DADDY" CHARBONNET of New Orleans, LA died July 9, 2015 at the age of 84. He was the vice president and co-proprietor of Charbonnet-Labat-Glapion Funeral Homes, which was founded by his grandparents in 1883 and is one of the oldest funeral homes in the country. An elaborate traditional funeral, complete with a level of pomp and circumstance that is rarely seen today even in New Orleans, was held. Planned by the family, the Crescent City FDA directed the events so the family could mourn their loss.
