ANTHONY P. AMIGONE, SR

ANTHONY P. AMIGONE, SR of Buffalo, NY died September 7, 2024 at the age of 92. A licensed funeral director in New York since 1953 and Pennsylvania since 1976, he was chairman of Amigone Funeral Home, Inc, which was founded by his parents, Daniel and Mary “Molly” Amigone in 1926. The hallmark “Amigone Blue” livery was his creation. A graduate of the Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, he was president of the National Association of Approved Morticians from 1968-1971; president of the Erie Niagara Funeral Directors Association from 1971-1972; president of the New York State Funeral Directors Association from 1978-1980; served as district governor of the National Funeral Directors Association from 1978-1980; and was a member of the International Order of the Golden Rule.
