A MOS E. QUESENBERRY of Shady Springs, WV died August 26, 2015 at the age of 94. He worked as a funeral director at several funeral homes including, Calfee Funeral Home in Beckley; McGlumphy Funeral Home in Clarksburg; and Nickels Funeral Home in Rainelle. He opened Quesenberry and Webb on Vance Drive and was later able to purchase the Rose Funeral Home on Neville Street in Beckley. In 1956, he built Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home at its present location, adding a second location in Shady Spring in 1997. By employing many apprentice embalmers and funeral directors over the years, he was able to help launch many others into highly successful careers. He attended the Renouaard Training School for Embalmers in New York. He was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association and the Order of the Golden Rule. He was appointed to serve on the Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, where he served two successful terms as president.
